Light is both a symbol of hope and a ubiquitous symbol for the holiday season, whether you’re celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas, Diwali, Kwanzaa, or your own personal celebration.

Light: A Holiday Celebration, performed at Town Hall in Times Square on December 13, 2015, featured the music of John Rutter, Eric Whitacre, Bobby McFerrin, and James Taylor along with traditional holiday favorites and some brand new commissions. Tony Award Nominee and Obie Winner, Justin Vivian Bond, joined 250 singers to bring light to the holiday season with music and a message of hope and acceptance.

Continuing the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus tradition of entertaining New York City audiences during the holiday season with a thoughtful, entertaining, and inspiring evening, Light: A Holiday Celebration helped ‘shed a little light’ on the themes of the season and the important issues faced by the LGBTQ community each year.
