Benefiting New York City Gay Men's Chorus and Youth Pride Chorus
Studio 54 is back for one sensational night of fun-raising
Friday, February 17, 2017
The Diamond Horseshoe
235 W 46th St, NYC
Harmony is Big Apple Performing Arts’ annual fundraising extravaganza—the city’s most flamboyant gala—benefiting New York City Gay Men’s Chorus and Youth Pride Chorus. First launched in 2009, Harmony has become one of the most fun, high-energy, and must-attend fundraising galas on the New York social calendar. Harmony blends sumptuous food, drinks, spectacular performances, surprising celebrity guests, fun auctions for high-end prizes, and a celebrity DJ dance party, all hosted at some of the city’s hottest and most seductive venues.
For Harmony 2017, our theme is Studio 54, honoring the most glamorous club the world has ever seen and the epicenter of all things decadent, dramatic, and disco. Lagerfeld, Liza, Lorna, Liz, Woody, Warhol, Jackie, Capote, Halston, Bianca—it was the place to be and the place to be anything you wanted to be. Studio 54 made diversity truly glamorous—men, women, gay, straight, queer, black, white, brown, old, young, beautiful, beautiful on the inside, funny, intellectual, highbrow, lowbrow—all equals, all together. Being fabulous was your only way into the most over-the-top nightly extravaganza—a sanctuary free from labels, bigotry, and norms. On the eve of the 40th anniversary of the iconic club’s opening in April 1977, we celebrate Studio 54’s pioneering attitude to equality, diversity, glamour, and having the time of your life. But just like Studio 54, Harmony will have one very strict door policy: be fabulous!

Your money is absolutely vital to the ongoing mission and growth of New York City Gay Men’s Chorus and Youth Pride Chorus. The mission of these important organizations has always been about pushing the envelope, being fierce champions for equality, love, and acceptance, and having a damn good time doing it. Every Harmony gala brings all of these passions to life at an event that is guaranteed to both warm and race your heart.
